Christopher Koopman

CEO, Abundance Institute

Christopher Koopman is the CEO of the Abundance Institute, where he leverages his expertise in regulation, competition, and innovation. His insights have been featured in major publications such as The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, and he is a recognized contributor at The Hill. In 2016, Koopman was named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 for his contributions to law and policy. In 2021, Governor Spencer Cox appointed him to Utah’s Personal Privacy Oversight Commission for a four-year term and currently serves as chairman. Before his tenure at the Abundance Institute, he was the Executive Director of the Center for Growth and Opportunity and a senior research fellow and director of the Technology Policy Program at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. He remains actively involved as a Senior Affiliated Scholar with the Mercatus Center and a member of the Federalist Society’s Regulatory Transparency Project.
