Omar Shaya

Prior to MultiOn, Omar Shaya led product management for Core Product Ranking at Meta and worked on product management at the Microsoft Search, Assistant, and Intelligence (MSAI) organization, which develops the Microsoft Copilot for the Office suite. Additionally, Omar has worked as a product manager at Crealytics and LiquidM, two successful startups where he helped incubate and develop AI-based marketing automation platforms. Omar holds an MS in Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He has Computer Science BS and MS degrees focused on AI from Göttingen University in Germany, and several patents in AI applications. Besides his professional life, Omar is passionate about classical music and is a skilled classical and flamenco guitarist. He is committed to supporting Syrian refugees through education and career development programs and has worked with Jusoor, a US-based non-profit founded by Syrian expats. Omar's multicultural background has given him a unique perspective on life. He was born in Syria to a Venezuelan mother and a Lebanese father, and is now a German citizen. Omar has lived in several cities, including Suwayda and Damascus, Syria; Gottingen and Berlin, Germany; London, UK; and Palo Alto, USA.
