Rikin Gandhi is Co-founder of Digital Green, which leverages generative AI to increase the efficiency and impact of agricultural development. Frontline agricultural workers and farmers use Farmer.Chat to triage issues on farms with local language voice, text, and image. An AI orchestration layer surfaces relevant videos by and for farmers, along with market and weather data. Farmer.Chat is built open-source for others to build their own services for farmers. Rikin has a background in computer science from Carnegie Mellon and aerospace engineering from MIT. Digital Green began as a research project at Microsoft Research in India, and today, it serves more than 6 million farmers.
