Steven Johnson is the author of fourteen books on the history of science, technology, and the history of innovation, including Where Good Ideas Come From, The Ghost Map, and The Infernal Machine. He is one of the creators of NotebookLM, the AI-powered research and writing tool from Google Labs. The host and co-creator of the BBC/PBS series How We Got To Now and Extra Life, Steven is also a regular TED speaker and the former host of the TED Interview podcast. He writes the Substack newsletter Adjacent Possible.
